When Phobos goes to Church

If we don't count the pseudo-periodic wedding or funeral, I haven't been to church in many many years. Last night I went to an Episcopalian church to listen to Beethoven's Mass in C, and Hayden's Mass in Time of War. If going to an Episcopalian Church to listen to a Mass that has the catholic credo:

We believe in one holy
catholic and apostolic Church.

sounds slightly heretical, paying $20 to get into the church would make Jesus come back with a vengeance, and this time not only turn the tables of the profiteers but burn them for good.

No matter how confusing the theology and dogma of this cross-religious event might sound, listening to a choir of 100 voices plus a full orchestra was an amazing experience. Haydn's mass was a lot of fun, full of martial marches and fugues that would fit right in an apocalyptic movie.
